GOSWAMI  SHRI  GURU  NABHA  DASS  MAHARAJ  JI

Shri  Guru  Nabha  Dass  was a great  Saint, Theologian and also religious writer of the Holy Scripture,  The Bhagat Maal. In this Sacred Scripture Nabha Dass had written life history of almost every saint ranging from Satyug to  Kalyug  Era. He was a Holy writer like Rishi  Shri Balmiki Maharaj  ji who had written The Ramayana, Rishi Bias Maharaj  ji   who had writtenThe Geeta    ,and Goswamy  Tulsi Dass ji who had written new edition of the Ramayana. He was born in April,8 1537 at village Bhadrachalam on the bank    of the sacred Godavari river in district Khammam of state Andra Pardesh. His Mother was Smt. Janaki   Devi ji   and Father Sh Ramdass ji Now known as Ramdassu. They  belonged to the  Mahasha,Doom, Dumna  community now known as Nabhadassia. Their   professional work was to make   baskets of Cane  and they were great artists  of all musical instruments. They were also strong  Devotees of the Lord Rama , Because The Lord Rama Temple was situated at their village Bhadrachallam now known as Rambhadrachalam. But they had no child so the villagers  taunted  for being childless. Later they  prayed before The Lord Rama to bless them with a son. Who will have Learned, intellectual, and also Great Theologian Then a son was born in  her mother womb .He was earlier called  Narayan Dass . He was a great  devotee of  the Lord Rama. His parents  expired  when  he was only five years old. He lived alone  at village and always used to  worship  in the temple. He played   on the bank of   sacred river  Godavari  with  his friends  and also exchanged  sand  ladoo into the sweet ladoo with blessing from God .Once both holy saint Sh Agardass ji and Keeldass were   passing through near  Ram Bhadrachalam hills & forests. They saw Narayan Dass under a tree with cult to the God. They asked him , "who are you ?  why are you sitting  here ?". Narayan told them, "I am made of five elements blessed from God". They were surprised to listen his  spiritual reply. They were very happy and asked  him ,if he  wanted  to go to their temple. Keeldass scattered    water on his eyes,  then he opened the eyes and got blessing. Then they brought him   into  temple at Ghalta Dham at Jaipur.  Then Guru Agardas ji  offered duty to him. You shall serve to the pilgrims who  come here  to listen Satsung and also you will operate hand fan when I am giving the preaching and teaching into the satsung hall for devotees persons. One day Guru Agardas was not concentrated to the sat sung because his one disciple(Hari Dass) who was a business person through the ship into sea way. His ship was sinking into cyclone. He prayed before his Guru Agardas to save his ship So Guru was paying attention towards a ship. How could he  save his ship. Narayanadass was looking at his guru Why he was  not concentrating  into the Satsung .When he saw with internal enlightenment. Then he  operated fan with very fast speed and to save a ship. Narayanadass said to his Guru,  you carry on the satsung  ship was freed from cyclone . Guru opened his  eyes and said him," How  did you understand  my internal feeling, You are great holy saint; now your name will be  Nabha dass, now you will not operate fan . you will write life history of holy saints who come on the earth from Satyug to Kalyug". Then he had written life history  of many holy saints with internal enlightenment  take boon from his Guru.Guru Agardass told his elder holy saint Sh. Keeldass,  which had written life history of many saints by Nabha Dass. He was very happy and told him, " you are great holy writer, and also  deserve to get a degree of doctorate  of Literature. We should  arrange a religious function here and invite all holy saints to give blessing to your religious achievements. He said him you should  go to Varanasi for holy dip into Ganga. He   also invited   all holy saints .When he was going to Varanasi on the way came city Ayudhia where the Lord Rama temple was situated. He stayed there for a  few days. He went to the lord Rama temple where religious programme was going on.All saints were singing  some hymns. When Temple Clergy said Nabha Dass to preach any hymn . Others Sage persons put their objection for not belonging to sage community  and said that how  can you allow him? Priest told them there should be no objection If  any person wants to  sing  a hymn. Before starting hymn Nabha Dass  said, "jaat na puchhie saadh ki, poochh leejie gyan, mol karo kirpan ka,pari rahne do mian". That means dont ask caste, religion from holy saints, ask about enlightenment of the God".  (Bhagat Bhagti Bhagwan Guru Chatur Naam Baap Ek Inke Pad Bandan Kiye Nasin Vigan Anek ).Then sung Devotee, devotion,Guru, God. They are same things and also respectable Idols. Who their worship their. Many problems solved themselves. Sage person who  are good thinking others. There is a good ways to meet the God. All sage persons were surprised to hear  his religious preaching. They called him with respect. Priest ask him. Where are you going. I am going to Varanasi for holy dip into sacred the Ganga . I invited all sage and holy saints to come at Ghaltadham where to held religious ceremony for releasing  the sacred scripture written by me with blessing from the Guru & God. All saints  accepted his message and also gave greeted   him for his religious work. Then he went to sacred river Ganga to take holy dip. He came back at Mathura, Varidavan to worship before the Lord Krishana temple and also met sh Tulsidass who had been written  sacred scripture of the Ramayana. Tulsi  Dass was a great sage and also a holy writer(The Ramayan). He was surprised to know about Nabha Dass and said that how can Nabha Dass  write sacred scripture because he did not belong to sage community nor he  is not Learned Theologian.  Nabha Dass come back at Ghalta Dham near Jaipur of the state Rajsthan. Tulsidass and others holy saints were thinking about holy work by Nabhadass. If Nabhadass will get uppadhi of Dr of Literature then to go the wrong massege. Ours sageship will go and also not impression before the people. We should  stop him. They hatched a  conspiracy against  Nabhadass. We will come there if your food will cook from Sandalwoods. They  knew that Nabhadass was not provided the sandalwoods because these sandalwoods are not available in this forest. If he goes near these sandalwoods the Snakes sitting on the trees will bite him and  then He will die. Not any others saints will got such Degree. Nabhadass accepted their challenge and went into the sandalwoods forest with bullock cart. Nabhadass prayed before Snakes they left there. Nabhadass and his disciples has cut needy sandalwoods brought these wooden near a bullock cart.  A Lion come and snatched to bull and killed him. Then Nabhadass saw this happen. He caught his ears and put the cart before the Lion and sandalwoods brought at Ghaltadham. When Religious ceremony to be started. Then all holy saints came at Ghaltadham and greeted with garland of flowers and folding him. Tulsidass also  come there and sit in last Queue. When Nabhadass saw him. He rushed near him and also welcome him and said that I want a holy saint to make like the Sameroo. You will have like  a sameroo  in the Sacred scripture written by me with blessing from all saints here, the God. Then all holy saints with his Guru Shri Agardass, shri Keeldass  released sacred scripture and called its name Bhagatmaal in 1585,at Ghaltadham Jaipur and also to give doctorate of Literature Degree to Nabhadass. Now you will be known as Goswami Shri Nabha Dass Maharaj like Goswami Shri Tulsidass, Rishi Bakmiki Ji Maharaj,Rishi Vyas Ji Maharaj.They had also written sacred scripture. In these sacred scripture to bring us near the God. In the Bhagatmaal have been written life history of many holy saints come to Kalyug from in Satyug era. At the end of  this religious ceremony. Shri Guru Nabhadass left for  Religious Journey throughout in India. He went first his Native Village at Rambhadrachalam bank of sacred river Godavari to take the blessing from his parent's temple and also temple of the Lord Rama. He come back at Dhianpurdham, Pandoridham, Damtaldham(Punjab). Then he went to Kulu Manali where his grand Guru Shri Krishna Pyahari Dass had  a lodge. Lodge was situated in deepen forest .There  lived a king Sh Jagat Singh and his wife who was suffering from skin disease. She had not relief even then to checkup from all doctors. Queen of king had belief on saints but the  king did not have any belief in the saints. Raja Shri Jagat Singh and his wife come to check up for skin disease. Grand guru Shri Krishana to hear their problem.  His grand guru  said Nabhadass to  take her near the sacred spring  and take three dips into sacred spring. After this, skin disease was cured from her body. Both king and queen were very happy and fell down their feet of both saints. They said them,"you are great holy saints, we want to present gift as you like". Krishana Pyahari Dass said them "You may have to celebrate ten days festival to the remark of the Lord Rama on Dusehra at Kulu. from the same day Kulu Dushera is going on begun on happy both saints. Nabhadass came at Punjab through way Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Jammu where his community more than  lived. One day he conveyed massage through to come my lodge to take blessing of my Guru. But they ignored them.  No person came to listen his religious hymns. He felt upset. He went back at Ghaltadham near Jaipur and to serve in the Galtadham. He and his gur Agardass went to Revasha forest and stayed. One day a king Raja  Maan Singh went to the Revasha forest for prey along with his ten thousands of sainiks. They were very exhausted. They saw a saint lodge to march there. King go to in before to take blessing from saints. Agardas said Nabhadass you give him some parsad of banana. When Nabhadass give him a banana. Raja Maan Singh said first parsad should be given to my sainiks and then after to me. Nabhadass  called the sainiks and gave  them all ten-ten  banana. That time king was surprised that how  he would be  able to give ten-ten bananas to all the  soldiers who are  more than 10000 in numbers, while there was only 10 balanas in the basket. King was again very surprised to see his miracle. They are miraculous holy saints. He fell down their feet for seeking the blessings. He gave 1600 acres of land in donation for Dham and also made a gate of name Agardass, Nabhadass and himself when they have proved miracle before him. The gate is still situated at Revasha Dham.  Nabhadass gone to heaven in 1643. He always rememberable in our hearts and on this earth. Because His contribution and sacrifice not for us Rather for whole people. Especially our community people should have respect and also grateful  before his idol. if Guru Nabha Dass would not have taken  birth in our Mahasha caste,  We could not tell others whether our guru is a Nabhadass ji. Others peoples are respect and they fell down his feet for his contribution, sacrifice to save Indian culture, so we should  celebrate  his birth anniversary on dated 8,April  in your villages, cities with fervor religious rites and we should  march a holy procession  in  the main bazaar near your cities.

Note: I and our samiti(Goswami Sri Guru Nabha Dass Sewa Samiti,Punjab(Regd.1418 ) shall be grateful before Guru Nabhadass Maharaj with whose greate blessings we are able to visit his  native village Bhadrachalam district Khammam bank of Sacred river Godavari of the state Andhra Pradesh and also got blessings  from his  parents. With the great blessings of the guru, we have made an efforts to write the life history of our guru.

We are endeavoring further to research for religious places belonged to our guru like Rambhadarachalam(Andhra Pradesh), Ayudhya, Varindaban, Mathura, Kanshi Baranasi, Chitterkoot,(U.P.), Jagannath Puri Temple(Odisa), Kullu Manali(Himachal Pradesh) etc.

Note:- Sri Guru Nabha Dass Ji Maharaj has proved religious miracles as under:-

1.                     He played on the bank of sacred river Godavari with his friends( in childhood) and converted “sand laddoo into the sweet laddoo with blessings from God.

2.         Sri Guru Nabha Dass Ji Maharaj saved the ship with the air of hand fan,

while his guru was thinking to save the sinking ship in the sea.

3.         Sri Guru Nabha Dass Ji Maharaj changed the simple wooden forest into sandal forest and also caught a lion and put it in the cart before while  the lion killed the bull of the cart.

4.         He distributed 10-10 bananas to each of thousands of sainiks of Raja Maan Singh when he was having only 10 bananas in the basket in Revasha Temple.

5.         He removed skin disease of the Queen of Raja Jagat Singh of Nagar(Kullu Manali) with blessings of his grand guru Krishan Pyharidass.

6.         He wrote sacred scripture  The Bhagat Maal Granth in which lift history of almost every saint ranging from Satyug to Kalyug Era is written.

7.         He completed religious yatras Galtadham Jaipur, Revasha Dham Sikar Rajasthan, Rambadrachal(Andhra Pradesh), Varindaban,Ayudhya, Varansi, Chitterkut(Utter Pradesh), Jagan Nath Puri,(Odisa), Nagar Kullu Manali(Himachal Pradesh),Dhianpur Dham, Pandori Dham,Damtal( Punjab).

7.         He got Doctorate Degree (Goswami) when he competed the religious granth Bhagat Maal in the presence of thousands of saints in a Sant Samelan.

            Guru Nabha Dass Ji Maharaj gone to heaven in 1643 in Revasha Dham (Sikar,Rajasthan), he is always remember able  in our hearts and on this earth for his contribution and sacrifice not for us rather for whole Indian peoples.
